Daniele Romanelli was born in Como (Italy) and graduated as an Architect specialized in housing rehabilitation and interior design in 2006 at the Polytechnic University of Milan with Professor Marco Dezzi Bardeschi, tackling complex project themes and developing a concrete solution to the how can we reclassify some critical situations of living in a city like Milan nowadays.
These proposals convinced to such an extent that they were published in a book edited by the Ananke Magazine, a journal specialized in rehabilitation and restoration processes.
During the university period, he began his professional experience in 2003 as a collaborator in the Terragni Architetti Studio in Como, an international architecture studio founded by Giuseppe Terragni, founder of Italian Rationalism.
In these years he dedicated himself to the development of projects of habitable units (apartments, single-family and two-family units), the realization of exhibitions, and participation in international competitions, working closely with Elisabetta Terragni (chief architect of Terragni Studio), Kurt Foster (Architecture Historian and Director of the Architecture Biennale of Venice) and Emilio Terragni.
He moved to Barcelona in 2006 after having finished his university studies, to work in the EMBT Miralles Tagliabue Studio as an architect responsible for several projects, dealing with different topics such as public buildings, homes, offices, shopping centres, exhibitions, hotels, home complexes, offices, stores and casinos.
The emblematic buildings of Barcelona are part of his professional curriculum, such as the Mercat de Santa Caterina (Born neighbourhood) or the Natural Gas Building in Barceloneta.
In addition, he was in charge of numerous competitions among which we consider the Spanish Pavellon for the EXPO of Shanghai (1st prize and rendering), Urban Competition in Copenhagen Carlsberg (2nd prize), Barcelona Mercat dels Encants and Camp Nou (first phase), Madrid Market Barcelò, Parliament of Albania, Luxembourg University le Fond Belval, Bucharest Straulesti, Berlin Tempelhof, Girona College of Architects …
In 2010 he founded LF24 an Architecture and Interior Design office, dedicated to the interior design of homes, offices and commercial spaces.
